My name is Magnus Svärd and I am a professional  stonesetter and engraver.

I started out 1985-88 going to a goldsmith-school here in Sweden shortly there after I did take a class in stone-setting and was hocked real hard.

1991 I started my own company and have been selfe employed ever since.

During the years I have traveled to numerous countries to learned from different highly skilled craftsmen. And on the way I picked up on engraving as well.

2004 I did my master pieces in stonesetting, got them approved and received my

Stonesetting Master certificate. The only one in Sweden that holds this based on workpieces.

To mention a few of my mentors that has taught me, in stonesetting, Jan Boman, Kent Alvren, Jura, Mark Maxwell, Alexandre Sidorov, Blaine Lewis Tony Tigg.

And in engraving, Sam Alfano, Christian de Camillis,Jason Marchiafava among others.

I take the moment to thank each and every one of them for sharing their knowledge!

Its sharing that makes trades like these alive and evolving. This has ledd me to start sharing my self and has been doing that since 2004 when I gave my very first class.

But most of my time I spend at the bench setting stones engraving and really enjoy my craft!
